Whew!

Carin and Aly have inspired me to add a "Ticker" to my blog. This also means a commitment of walking, biking or running the distance to Disneyland. WHAT HAVE I DONE??
It is going to take forever to do this, I am no spring chicken, I figure at the rate I do anything, well I don't even want to think about it.
So... I need all the help I can get, any encouragement will be appreciated.

On a lighter note, I have decided to post a recipe now and again, you will see it on the sidebar. I love recipes, I love to read them, try them and collect them. I have made the bread recipe several times and it is a good one. If you have tried making whole wheat bread and it tastes a lot like a cardboard box, you will like this one.

When we all make it to Disneyland, we need to have a reunion! We should get my mom to do it too, but she has A LOT longer to go. Maybe she can count miles in her car...she has to drive at least 10 every time she goes to the store!

Good for you Deanie! We've got quite a group doing it now. How fun. We can cheer each other on and talk smack when we start slacking off!

Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to make a trip to buy wheat gluten and dough enhancer. Do you know what those ARE? I know gluten's a protein in the wheat. I wonder why recipes need a more concentrated amount of it. And what is dough enhancer? Just curious. I guess I can bug the people at the store with my silly questions.

I like the ticker thing. I can't wait to hear about the results of your walking.

Love the side bar recipe idea!!!!!! You are the best walker I know...you really should sign back up at the gym and go use the other equipment as well to get more miles:)

Carin - Okay I have the ingredient label in front of me and for the dough enhancer it shows:whey, soy milk, soy lecithin, modified corn starch, vitiamin C powder and citric acid. Not a silly question and I am not sure why these items make the bread turn out better, but they do. It gives it a really good texture. I will try and remember to give Aly some for you to try in a recipe. I have a bag of each and it will last me forever.

Thanks Deanie. That was nice of you to humor me & take the time to post the ingredients in the enhancer. You don't need to loan me any. I'll believe you and pick some up. My family would love a more fluffy, delicious wheat bread so I'll give it a try.
Thanks!

Do you have any idea how far Disneyland is from here??? GEEZ! Maybe I could walk to Disneyworld. Better yet...Dollywood! Oh...I just read Robyn's comment. Yes I think counting the miles I drive would be much easier. Of course, I'd never lose any weight that way...would I?!

By the way...I love recipes too. It will be fun to see what you post. I'll have to give bread another try. I've had terrible luck with it (white, or wheat). Did you say "cardboard box"...yes, that bad!
